Video calls for up to 6 souls — open a room, share the code, talk face to face. Peer-to-peer and encrypted end-to-end; the box only passes the handshake. And when there is no internet at all, light the Lantern: the handshake travels by QR or a pasted note — over LAN, a Bluetooth file-share, anything that can carry text.
room
Two souls, no server, no internet. One lights the lantern, the other answers it. The handshake blobs can travel any way at all: scan the QR across the room, paste into a LAN chat, or send as a text file over Bluetooth share / AirDrop / Nearby Share — the FireChat spirit with what a browser can honestly do. Once both sides have swallowed each other's blob, the video itself flows directly between the two machines (same Wi-Fi/hotspot works fully offline).
Open a room and pass the code — or light a lantern where there’s no internet.
